Nentawe Yilwatda and Ajibola Basiru have been re-elected as National Chairman and National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), respectively.
The duo emerged on Friday during the party’s fourth elective national convention held at Eagle Square in Abuja.
Their re-election was announced by the APC Convention Election Committee, which confirmed that they were among several party officials returned through a consensus arrangement.
The development follows the party’s earlier decision to retain its existing zoning formula for positions in the National Working Committee (NWC) ahead of the convention.
Speaking on the arrangement last week, Felix Morka, APC National Publicity Secretary, said the zoning structure was clearly outlined in the party’s published schedule for its nationwide congresses, national convention, and other related activities for 2026.
According to him, the zoning formula guiding the distribution of NWC positions across states and geopolitical zones remains binding for the convention.
Morka also urged aspirants seeking national positions within the party to strictly comply with the approved zoning framework.
As a result, Yilwatda and Basiru were returned unopposed for the offices of National Chairman and National Secretary, respectively.
