FUL SUG Records Massive Turnout at Ramadan/Lent Palliative Programme

All praise be to Almighty God for the successful hosting of the Ramadan/Lent Palliative Program organized by the Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Federal University Lokoja under the leadership of the SUG President, Comr. Joseph Adomu Adopisa.

The program, held on Wednesday, 17th March 2026, at Lecture Theatre B (LTB) – FUL, was the first of its kind in the history of the SUG and the university and recorded a massive turnout of students.

During the program, many students benefited from different support initiatives. Cash support was given instantly to some students, some had their school fees paid on the spot, and food items were also shared massively to support students during this period.

In addition, opportunities were created for students interested in skill acquisition, including tailoring, fashion design, shoemaking, leather works, content creation, and other handwork skills. Beneficiaries will have the opportunity to learn these skills free of charge while also receiving support for their education.

The Students’ Union Government also appreciates the support of well-meaning individuals, stakeholders, and friends of the Union who contributed in various ways towards the success of the initiative.

The program also had the presence of dignitaries and student leaders who came out to support the initiative, making it a huge and resounding success.

Speaking during the event, the SUG President assured students that this is just the beginning of such impactful initiative

The Students’ Union Government remains committed to student welfare and urges all students to continue supporting positive and impactful initiatives.
