Three APC Members Die in Auto Crash While Heading to Zonal Congress in Lafia

Three members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Ogbadigbo Local Government Area of Benue State have reportedly lost their lives in a tragic road accident while travelling to attend the party’s zonal congress in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
According to reports, the fatal crash occurred on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, along the Makurdi–Lafia Expressway.
The incident was confirmed by the Benue State APC Organising Secretary, James Ornguga, who disclosed that several other party members also sustained injuries in the accident.
Ornguga said the injured victims are currently receiving medical attention at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH), Makurdi.
“Yes, we lost three of our members from Ogbadigbo, while others were injured and are receiving treatment at BSU Teaching Hospital,” he said.
The tragic development has cast a shadow over the party’s activities in the state, as members mourn the sudden loss of their colleagues.
As of the time of filing this report, further details surrounding the cause of the accident had not yet been made public.
